Come visit one of the largest zoo’s in the world, the Toronto Zoo! During your visit, you will be able to observe and learn about over 5,000 animals, and over 500 species.  You can also walk along the 10km (6 miles) walking trail while admiring scenic views or you can relax in the beauty of the First Nation Art Garden.

The Toronto Zoo is divided into 7 different geographic regions, each housing the animals that naturally live in that habitat. This gives guests the opportunity to take a trip around the world within their 710 acre grounds. The regions displayed are: Indo-Malaya, Africa, the Americas, Australasia, Eurasia, Canadian Domain, and Tundra Trek. Be sure to stop by the Tundra trek to see the Toronto Zoo’s newest baby polar bear. The underwater viewing areas allow guests to get an up close look at the polar bear’s behavior under sea.  Also, check out the Zeller’s Discovery Zone. This exhibit includes a Kids zoo, Splash Island, and the Waterside Theatre. Camel and pony rides are also available weather permitted.

While you are at the Toronto Zoo, stop by Beaver Trails to experience the whole wheat deep fried pastry; it’s a Canadian favorite! Other attractions are as followed: 13 eating establishments, 7 gift shops and kiosks, and, 4 different rides for kids of all ages.
