The Brookfield Zoo is located just 14 miles west of downtown Chicago. This zoo, opened in 1934, gives guest a realistic view of each animal and their natural habitats. Wander the Great Bear Wilderness Exhibit and you will see bison roaming in a prairie with mountains in the distance. As you walk through this exhibit you will also see grizzly taking a swim, polar bears, and eagles soaring through the sky. If you want to get eye to eye with the animals, participate in Wild Encounters. This activity will allow guests to go behind the scenes and see some animals in an off exhibit setting. Here, you will be able to feed, sometimes hold, and learn about a particular animal’s behavior and environment.

If you have had enough land for the day seek out the Seven Seas Exhibit, you will find dolphins going aerial in their daily performances! Also, The Brookfield Zoo has a wonderful Children’s Zoo. Children can feed their favorite barn animals, and they will also be able to see special species like the reindeer.

 Guests can use the Motor Safari if they are worried on how they will make it to each exhibit before the day ends. Each guest can hop on the Motor Safari all day and get off at any of the four stops throughout the park. This Motor Safari will get you to your favorite spots in no time! Walking around The Brookfield Zoo all day long can work up an appetite. The Brookfield Zoo has made an effort to distribute healthier meals to their patrons. All zoo foods are free of Trans fatty acids!
