The Franklin Park Zoo is a perfect spot to take the family on a warm spring day. Visitors love to see the many animals that have traveled from numerous parts of the world. The Tropical Rainforest houses a very intimate indoor gorilla exhibit. Guests can also get a true Safari experience by climbing into a “crashed Land rover” overlooking the African Lions in the Kalahari Kingdom. Beau and Jana, The Franklin Park Zoo’s Masai giraffes, are not very fond of Boston’s cold winters. So if you happen to be at the zoo on a warm day, stop by the Giraffe Savannah to pay them a visit!

If you are looking to admire and learn about a more delicate animal, then the Butterfly Landing is the perfect exhibit for you! The Butterfly Landing is a serene tented area comprised of hundreds of flying butterflies. While strolling around this exhibit be sure to catch the beauty of the garden patches while you are relaxing to the sounds of soft music. Other entertaining and fascinating exhibits are: Serengeti Crossing, Tiger Tales, Franklin Farm, Outback Trail, and Birds World.

There are designated picnic areas throughout the park for guests who bring their own food.  Guests can also grab a delicious bite to eat at the western themed Giddy-up Grill. The Giddy-up Grill serves healthy wraps, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and much more!

The Franklin Park Zoo is open daily from 10:00am- 4:00pm.
